Blow molding press builder Nissei ASB Machine Co. Ltd. showed its ASB-12M and ASB-70DPH machines at the IPF in Chiba, Japan, Oct. 28-Nov. 1.
The ASB-12M is a small, one-step injection stretch blow molding machine to produce jars and bottles from PET and other resins in one machine. The successor to the ASB-12N/10, the ASB-12M has improved capabilities and an energy efficient servo driven hydraulic pump, at a more reasonable price point. It can mold jars with a neck size up to 83 millimeters.
At the trade show, Nissei ASB molded thick-base PET cosmetic jars, at a rate of 170 an hour.
The ASB-70DPH, with an optional servo pump, molded PET liquid soap warm-fills bottles, at 1,350 per hour.
The company in Nagano, Japan, said the DHP press is one of its best sellers, at a total of 1,500 units sold.
The company’s U.S. headquarters, Nissei ASB Co., is in Atlanta.
